A global campaign to reduce food waste around the world has been launched by the UN EnvironmentProgramme (UNEP) and the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), in partnership with WRAP UK, Feeding the 5000, and many other supporters. The campaign is part of the Save Food Initiative of FAO and the Trade Fair Organizer Messe Düsseldorf. Hamraah Foundation in association with GlobalHunt Foundation organized 23rd International drawing competition for slum children on 31st January 2014, in Dhobhi Ghat area, Okhla and covered 84 slum children under this drawing competition. Children were encouraged to make drawing on this year’s UNEP’s theme:-FOOD WASTE. The drawing sheets were arranged to be sent to regional office of UNEP to be a part of global competition.
